The More You Trade, the More We Buy Back: Genius.fun Launches Fee-Based Buyback Mechanism, Tokens Above $2M Market Cap Can Apply

Author: Shenchao TechFlow

Shenchao Introduction: On November 5, 2026, Beijing time, Genius.fun, a decentralized trading terminal and token launch platform, officially launched a token buyback mechanism based on the platform's fee revenue, and listed the ecosystem token GSTOCK as the first pilot target.

Under this plan, 20% of the foundation fees from GSTOCK trading pairs will be dedicated to secondary market buybacks, while a market capitalization threshold of 2 million USD will be established network-wide, allowing projects that meet the liquidity standards to apply to join a similar buyback loop.

This mechanism innovation intuitively reflects the trend of on-chain launch platforms evolving from one-way fee extraction toward a positive liquidity internal circulation.

Fee Extraction Shifts to Direct Buybacks in the Secondary Market

According to information officially released by Genius, 20% of the Genius Foundation revenue generated from GSTOCK trading will be directly allocated by the system to execute purchases in the secondary market. These funds will no longer remain in the protocol treasury as passive assets, but instead become a regular net buy-side force for the token's spot market.

At present, most launch platforms rely on one-sided extraction to sustain protocol revenue, and an increase in trading volume is often accompanied by one-way liquidity extraction by the platform. Genius has adjusted its revenue distribution pipeline so that part of the funds generated by high-frequency turnover flows back into the liquidity pool, directly hedging the selling pressure faced by the token in the secondary market.

Market Cap Admission Mechanism Screens for Targets with Depth

Genius has not opened the buyback pipeline directly to all created pools; the platform stipulates that only tokens with a market capitalization exceeding 2 million USD can submit applications for integration. This rule establishes a basic admission filter at the launch end, blocking short-cycle minimalist liquidity pools from eroding the protocol's buyback resources.

The 2 million USD asset threshold requires project teams to independently complete base pool accumulation and token distribution in the early stage. Only assets that have completed original liquidity accumulation can receive the backflow support of platform fees. This restriction concentrates protocol resources on leading assets with turnover depth, avoiding the dissipation of buyback funds in micro tokens with no trading volume.

On-Chain Mapping of Trading Heat to Buy-Side Strength

This adjustment establishes a quantitative relationship between trading activity and spot support. When tokens integrated into this mechanism experience rising volatility and expanded turnover, the accumulated 20% protocol share grows in tandem and is converted into automatically executed spot buy orders.

Token holders therefore no longer need to passively rely on the development team's discretionary market-support budget. As long as the asset maintains a sufficient on-chain trading scale, the trading terminal itself becomes the source of funds providing bottom-support liquidity, binding protocol revenue and token retention rate together numerically.

First Batch of Integration Review Channels Enters Acceptance Stage

Genius.fun has currently activated the fee diversion execution contract for GSTOCK on-chain, and the technical portal is simultaneously open to accept verification applications submitted by third-party projects regarding market capitalization and pool depth. The first batch of ecosystem tokens reaching the 2 million USD threshold will be integrated into the protocol in batches after completing review.
