After the incident in which more than $6 billion in assets were stolen from Binance, the security of assets on centralized exchanges has once again become a focus of attention in the crypto community. Although Binance has initiated asset backfilling and is covering losses through channels such as its own funds and the SAFU fund, for users who have long stored funds on centralized exchanges, a practical question has once again come to the fore: Should assets remain on the exchange, or be withdrawn to a personal wallet? If they remain on the exchange, which one should be chosen?
For users who mainly hold stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, in addition to asset security, wealth management returns are also an important consideration when choosing an exchange. At present, major exchanges have successively launched a new round of wealth management campaigns, covering forms such as flexible savings rate boosts, fixed-term wealth management, and holding rewards. What stablecoin and other wealth management campaigns does each exchange currently offer, and what are the specific yields, participation thresholds, and campaign periods? Odaily Planet Daily has compiled them one by one for everyone.
Binance: Launches a 20 million USDC reward pool, with stablecoin wealth management reaching a maximum comprehensive annualized yield of about 11%
Yesterday, Binance announced the launch of a community giveback campaign, including stablecoin wealth management rate boosts, spot trading fee rebates, and a trading reward pool totaling 20 million USDC. The campaign lasts until November 22 at 7:59.
In terms of wealth management, Binance offers additional annualized rewards for USDT and USDC flexible products. At present, the base annualized yield for both is about 3%. Among them, the first 1,000 USDT can receive an additional 8% annualized yield, for a comprehensive annualized yield of 11%; ordinary users holding less than the equivalent of $50,000 in USDC can receive an additional 7% annualized yield on the first 10,000 USDC, for a comprehensive annualized yield of about 10%. For ordinary users holding the equivalent of $50,000, the first 30,000 USDC can receive an additional 7.5% annualized yield; VIP 1 to VIP 3 users can receive an additional 8% annualized yield on the first 200,000 USDC, and VIP 4 to VIP 9 users can receive an additional 8.5% annualized yield on the first 300,000 USDC.
In addition, Binance has also launched limited-time rate boost campaigns for RWUSD and BFUSD. Among them, the first 50,000 RWUSD can receive an additional 6.39% annualized yield, bringing the comprehensive annualized yield to about 10% after adding the base return; the first 50,000 BFUSD can receive an additional 5% annualized yield, and after adding the reference base return of about 5.11%, the comprehensive reference annualized yield is about 10.11%.
In terms of trading rewards, eligible users who complete identity verification can claim a spot trading fee rebate voucher worth 100 USDC, used to rebate eligible portions of trading fees. In addition, users whose cumulative effective trading volume during the campaign reaches $10,000 can share in the 20 million USDC reward pool according to their share of trading volume, with each person able to receive up to 4,000 USDC in token vouchers (VIP 3 and above users do not participate in this trading reward).
OKX: Stablecoin holding and BTC, ETH staking campaigns launched simultaneously
On November 1, OKX announced the launch of a new round of flash earning campaign, in which users can subscribe to BTC or ETH to share in a reward pool totaling 1 million USDT. The campaign runs from November 3 at 15:00 to November 8 at 15:00.
Among them, the BTC prize pool is 410,000 USDT and the ETH prize pool is 590,000 USDT, with minimum subscription amounts of 0.001 BTC and 0.01 ETH respectively. Ordinary users can subscribe to up to 1 BTC or 100 ETH, while the upper limits for higher-tier users can be raised to 50 BTC or 3,000 ETH. In addition to receiving the base wealth management returns on BTC and ETH, participants can also receive additional USDT rewards based on their subscription share. Returns are calculated and distributed hourly, and redemption is supported at any time.
In terms of stablecoins, OKX launched a USDC holding reward campaign on November 2, with a total reward pool of 400,000 USDC, and the campaign lasts until December 3 at 7:59. Users do not need to transfer USDC into wealth management products; they only need to register and hold eligible USDC in their trading account to participate in the reward distribution.
This campaign is only open to eligible trading VIP users, who are required to hold at least 10,000 USDC and complete a cumulative eligible USDC trading volume of at least $1,000 during the campaign period. Each user's rewards are calculated based on a maximum of 100,000 USDC in holdings, and the prize pool is distributed daily according to the proportion of eligible holdings. Actual returns depend on the scale of participating funds, and there is no fixed annualized yield.
Bitget: Stablecoin flexible savings up to 12% annualized, Cash+ comprehensive returns also boosted
In Bitget's latest wealth management plan, the first 300,000 USDC in flexible savings enjoy a 12% annualized yield, while the portion from 300,000 to 10 million USDC receives 3.5%. Regarding the campaign duration, Xie Jiayin, head of Bitget Greater China, said in a post on X, "As long as our peers do, we will," without giving a clear end date.
For USDT, the regular flexible savings annualized yield is 4%. Users with net deposits reaching 1 million USDT can receive an additional 4.5% annualized rate boost quota on up to 3 million USDT, bringing the comprehensive annualized yield to 8.5%. USDGO adopts tiered returns: the first 100,000 receive 9% annualized, 100,000 to 1 million receive 8%, and 1 million to 10 million receive 5%.
In addition to stablecoins, Bitget also offers PoolX staking mining campaigns for BTC and ETH, with corresponding annualized yields of 2.88% and 3.77% for BTC and ETH respectively.
Gate: USDT flexible savings up to 5.3% annualized, VIP fixed-term wealth management up to 9%
On November 2, Gate launched the third phase of its USDT wealth management limited-time rate boost campaign, covering idle funds flexible savings and 7-day and 30-day fixed-term products in Yu Coin Bao, with a maximum comprehensive annualized yield of 9%.
On the flexible side, users who accumulate net deposits of 10,000 USDT during the campaign period can enjoy a 4% blended APY on their first 50,000 USDT in holdings; with net deposits reaching 50,000 USDT, the blended APY rises to 5%, which includes about 3% base yield plus additional interest boosts. Funds in the idle money product can still be used for trading, and the interest boost rewards are automatically credited the next day. The campaign runs until December 2 at 7:00.
On the fixed-term side, VIP 2 to VIP 14 users who accumulate net deposits of 100,000 USDT and subscribe to a 7-day fixed-term product can enjoy a 9% APY on their first 100,000 USDT; with net deposits reaching 1 million USDT and subscribing to a 30-day fixed-term product, they can enjoy a 6% APY on their first 1 million USDT. Both tiers of yield include base interest and additional interest boosts, and the campaign runs until December 2 at 16:00.
Summary
For ordinary users, keeping assets on a large centralized exchange may still make it easier to control risk than managing an on-chain wallet themselves. After all, losses caused by lost private keys, operational mistakes, or improper authorizations are often harder to recover.
Since exchanges remain an important choice for most users in managing crypto assets, while paying attention to platform security, it is also worth looking at the new wealth management campaigns launched by various platforms, choosing products that suit you, and casually taking advantage of a round of perks.
